PLAIN PORRIDGE

My colleague Hanafiah was suffering from toothache when he was with Kamariah and I at the Motivation Camp for the elite students. As a matter of fact, he did not eat much food for two days. On the final day of the camp, I ordered a bowl of porridge for him. Yeah! From small, that was what my mum would do when I was not feeling well. I am sure many people from Asian households would have been given porridge when they were ill as it is a common dish for patients or babies. Of course, it is also eaten when one is feeling healthy as well. But it is when somebody feels sick or has undergone an operation that eat porridge since it is easier to digest. Porridge can bring back your taste when you do not feel like eating anything.
Know what? The cook at the resort cooked such a big bowl of porridge for Hanafiah that he couldn't finish it. Finally, it was his two fairy godmothers who helped him to finish it.
