OUR SHARED GODSON

Yesterday afternoon, Kamariah and I gave a farewell treat to our colleague, Hanafiah.  He was our former student who served as an attachment teacher to the school for two years.  His contract with the school ends at the end of the year and will not be renewed as there is an excess of teachers when the school is transformed into a college in 2012.
For your information, Kamariah and I both taught Hanafiah when he was studying in our school from 2000 to 2001 and so the both of us are particularly protective of him.  We have unofficially adopted him as our godson.   Hanafiah has been  an exemplary teacher whose dedicated and work commitment has earned the respect and admiration of all the teachers and staff in the school.  His not being accepted into the education sector would be a great loss to all of us and that is why both his fairy godmothers are praying that he will  get selected to go for a special teacher's training programme to enable him to be fully absorbed into the education system and that he will one day return to serve alongside us in the college as a full-fledged educator.
