NO GIVING DAMAGED GIFTS

My colleague, Asiah has received her transfer letter back to another state in Malaysia, i.e. Kedah.  As she is one of the library teachers I had gone and bought her a glass vase but unfortunately it got cracked while I was transporting it.  When we give a present to someone we must make sure that it is in perfect condition.  This is to show our sincerity and respect for the person the gift is for.  Furthermore, it would be extra taboo to give cracked glass to Asiah as she is pregnant.  I am superstitious and would not want anything untoward to happen to her or the child she is bearing.
What I did was I quickly sprung into action and came up with a floral arrangement for Asiah instead.  I gave it to her when she came to the library after school was over.
