HEXAGON POT HOLDER FROM RECYCLED FLYER

In my spare time, I have come up with a hexagon shaped pot holder which I made by tying two strips of paper from the flyers and pamphlets that were in my post box.

Here is how you do it.

Tie a hexagon

square knot from paper strips forms hexagon
If you tie a square knot using two strips of paper, the knot is in the shape of a hexagon.

Steps

  1. Cut two strips of paper about 2 cm wide and as long as your piece of paper allows.
  2. hold two ends of one strip togetherLoop one strip back on itself to look like a ribbon.
  3. loop other strip through ends around, and back outSlip the second trip through the looparound the first strip and back through the loop again.
  4. flatten knotPull on the ends to tighten the knot. Flatten the knot to see a hexagonal shaped knot. You can cut off the extra paper or fold the ends back.
