MY SMALL BUT SINCERE OFFERINGS

Last week, I had wanted to purchase the yellow tortoise bun with the colourful markings from the Ayer Tawar temple to serve as offering to the 9 Emperor Gods.  Unbeknownst to me, them buns were not for sale.  Instead, one needs to cast two divination blocks to get to borrow them for the year for good luck.
During the weekend, I went back to Ipoh to buy a pair of tortoise buns from the stalls outside the Tow Boh Keong Temple to bring back with me to Sitiawan.  I finally made my offering of tortoise buns to the deities.
My Tortoise buns may be small in comparison to those at the temple but then they are given with a sincere heart.  Besides the buns, I also lit small yellow lotus candles on the altar as offerings to the Goddess Dou Mou.  I tried buying the yellow lotus candles from the prayer paraphernalia shops in Ipoh and were told that they only stock the pink ones.  Luckily, the shops in Sitiawan have the yellow ones in their stock.
As can be seen in the pictures below, my yellow lotus candles were small but then again, they do look cute.
