During the 9 Emperor Gods Festival, devotees who visit the Tow Boh Keong Temples in Malaysia will be treated to free vegetarian lunch and dinner. In the Ayer Tawar temples, lunch is served from 12 noon to 2.00 p.m. and dinner is from 5.00 p.m. until 7.00 p.m.
This is the second day that I am on a vegetarian diet and I am having dinner at the temples. One of the dishes served was Acar. It was quite delicious and the vegetables were very crunchy.
By the way, I have been going on this vegetarian diet for the 9 Emperor Gods Festival since I was 19 years old. Yeah! That looooong. I did have breaks when my grandma, grandpa, paternal aunt and dad died. One is not supposed to go on such diets when in mourning.

I was told can go on vegetarian diet during this time except cannot go to the temple & pray.
