SHABU SHABU RESTAURANT IN SERI MANJUNG

Kamariah and I initially thought that the Shabu Shabu Restaurant got its name from the proprietor named Shabudin. Shabu would be the short form for Shabudin. It turns out that we were wrong. In actuality, Shabu Shabu is the Japanese name for hot pot or steamboat. The name Shabu Shabu is derived from the "swish swish" sound of cooking the meat in the pot. So we now know that there is no Shabudin involved.
The Manjung Shabu Shabu Restaurant serves up to 150 choices of fresh seafood, steamboat ingredients, fruits, desserts andice-cream.Customers enjoy a free flow of Cold & Hot Beverages and desserts after enjoying the steamboat buffet.
On Thursday, Lai Yoong and I got invited to a meal at the Seri Manjung Shabu Shabu restaurant.  It is located at 91-93, Persiaran PM 2/5, Pusat Bandar Seri Manjung, Seksyen 2, Seri Manjung, Perak.
The place opens for business from 11.30 a.m. to 11.30 p.m.  I chose to go for dinner as earlier in the day, I had the Hari Raya Aidil Fitri Feast in school.  Actually, Mr Eric Ting had reserved a table for three, that is, for Kama, Lai Yoong and I.  Unfortunately, Kama had a headache and could not go.
Lai Yoong and I wish to thank Mr Eric and Shabu Shabu restaurant for having us as guests.  We enjoyed our steamboat dinner.
Here is a picture of the Restaurant signage taken at night.
Restaurant Shabu Shabu serves halal food and there is even a surau for Muslim diners to pray.

A selection of crispy seafood.

The selection of vegetables for the hot pot was rather limited.  There were only about 10 types.  I love eating veges and so was rather disappointed that there was not much choice.

A selection of the seafood.  They looked very fresh.
Since Lai Yoong and I went at 7.00 p.m., there were not that many people at the restaurant.  However, more customers came when we left the place at around 8.00 p.m.

We chose the Yin Yang hot pot.  One side was Tom Yam and the other Chicken broth.
