CALMING DOWN AN ANGRY PARENT

I had a query on how a teacher can calm down an angry parent.   As a teacher, if I am faced with such a situation I would not use Feng Shui, instead I would resort to good ole' common sense.  When dealing with an angry parent, it is important to remain calm and reasonable.  Make sure that you keep your cool and keep your temper in check.   In my experience, I have found that by dealing with people in a rational and calm manner it helps to defuse the tension.
What one needs to do is to calm the parent down and invite him or her to have a seat first. Then serve them a hot drink to create a calmer atmosphere.  Listen to what the parent has to say and respect his or her point of view, regardless of whether you agree with them or not.  This is especially important when talking with a parent who is upset and angry.  Parents are naturally sensitive when it comes to their children, so it is important to try to calm him or her down.  You need to listen to what they have to say,  and talk with them about the problem.  I am sure that the parent would calm down and the problem would be solved.
