TRYING TO SPREAD SOME FESTIVE CHEER

One yearly activity that I help to carry out during the Muslim Fasting Month of Ramadhan is to collect money to buy new clothes for orphans, needy children and old folks.   In this way,  my friends and I hope to bring some festive cheer to the underprivileged.
This afternoon, my colleagues and I opened the Donation box  to count the amount of money collected so far for the orphans and the needy old folks at the Pondok.  The total collected was RM491.65.  This plus the money handed to me by the teachers amounts to RM991.65.  However, we still need more money as there are 23 orphans and needy children plus 10 needy senior citizens.  Based on the previous years' experience, the budget is about RM100 per child to buy clothes, headwear and shoes.  For the old folks, we prepare goodie bags with festive cookies, medicated oil and other useful items.
