EXHIBITION ON 'RAMADHAN'

The latest exhibition at the school library is on the theme of 'Ramadhan'.  Ramadhan is a month in the Muslim calendar.  During this month, those of the Islamic faith would go on a fast from dawn till dusk.  The religious teacher has helped me to prepare articles about the activities carried out during this holy month.  Actually fasting is only a part of the Ramadhan, the Muslims have also to carry out prayers, attend sermons and also do good deeds.
In conjunction with the exhibition, my colleagues and I are also collecting money for the poor and needy.  The boys in my class helped me to prepare a donation box and placed it along with the other exhibits.  The students have been coming in to contribute money during their break time and also in the evening.  We will be opening the box during the third week of fasting.  I have also received RM150 so far from 2 teachers who wished to contribute towards buying new clothes for orphans.  Hopefully, more people will be donating so that we can prepare goodie bags for the old folks as well.  This will be the fourth year I am organising such a fund raising activity during Ramadhan.
