FREE VEGETARIAN MEAL

 In most of the temples that celebrate the birthday of the Goddess Kuan Yin, vegetarian food would be served to the devotees.  The ingredients for the food are usually sponsored and those who do the preparation, cooking and washing-up also volunteer their services.
In the above picture, you see 5 of the dishes served to a table of 10.  There is actually a 6th dish, which is a soup.
Know what?  The food is simply delicious.  I am not saying so because I did not have to pay a single sen but it is the truth.  One of the reasons is that those who are doing the cooking most probably are in the restaurant business.  Another reason is that these people are cooking with sincere hearts and thus the food reflects their benevolence.
