DOING VOLUNTEER WORK AT THE TEMPLE

The last time Lai Yoong and I visited the Tong Wah Tong Temple in Tanjung Rambutan, the caretaker asked us to help with packing some of the prayer paraphernalia.  However, both of us had to go somewhere that day and we only managed to help sweep and mop the floor.
This morning, Lai Yoong came back to Ipoh with me and we went again to the cave temple with the intention to help do the packing.  However, other volunteers had already helped do the work already.  So, we helped to sweep and mop the floor plus wipe the altars. We were not the only volunteers to went to help, there was an old gentleman who also came.  According to him, he and other volunteers who live nearby go everyday to clean the place.
