WHAT A KIND GIRL

Today I would like to blog about a lovely young lady that I met on Sunday.  The girl had gone with her mum to the temple for prayers and when she saw that my mum had received a replica of the 10 Metre tall Buddha statue at the Wat, she volunteered to help my mum carry the statue to place at the steps of the sleeping Buddha.  With one hand she carried the statue and the other she held my my's hand and led her up the steps.

When they reached the place, she handed the Buddha statue to my mum so that she could place it near the Sleeping Buddha statue.
My mum placing the statue in which I had written her name.  On Wesak Day, the monks will conduct a blessing ceremony for all whose names have been written on the statues.
A devotee would receive a Buddha statue after making a donation of RM100 for the temple building fund.
After placing the statue, my mum was helped down the steps by the kind young lady.

The young girl carefully led my mum down the steps and helped her make her way back to the temple.  See, there are indeed very nice and kind people around.  I am glad to have met such a person.
