PAYING MY GODSON A VISIT

Once in a while I would go and see how my little godson, Amir, is doing. Actually Kamariah and I went to look for him on Tuesday but he and his dad were not in.   I had actually promised to take him for a meal when it was my birthday but somehow I could not make it.  Anyway,  I went again with Kamariah this evening and I got to play with Amir for a short while.
Mind you not everyone can be my godson as the date of my birth according to Chinese beliefs is a very Strong or Hard Date and so might clash with that of someone with a Weak Date.  Amir has no problem as far as that is concerned.  His birthdate is strong enough to match mine.  Usually children who lose one or both of their parents at a young age are said to possess Strong or Hard birthdates.
I am in the process of getting myself a god-daughter soon.  However, I need to look for a good date to 'buy' her from her parents.
In this picture, Aunty Kamariah is demonstrating to Amir how to pump air into the balloon using the pump that I bought for him.
Amir is looking intently at how it is done.  In the pack that I got for him, there are at least 10 balloons.

He wanted to have his picture taken with his new Zebra Soft Toy.  His dad said that he had to collect a lot of points from The Store to get it for him.
Amir and his dad Ishak.  I think Amir is looking more and more like his late mother as he grows up.  However, the Chinese say that one can expect 18 changes in appearance for children.  When he was smaller, he looked more like his dad.  Anyway, I think he'd look more handsome if he took after his mum in appearance.
I didn't actually think of visiting Amir this week until I heard a comment from one of my friends, Ida.  She told me that she had met the little guy with his dad at the departmental store.  When Amir found out that Ida was his dad's friend, he introduced himself.  He also said that there was only him and his dad.  His mum had left (meaning that she had passed away).  Aiyoh!  I felt so sad at that moment that I  asked Kamariah to go with me to visit him.  Actually, I think that her motherly instinct also made her want to go and see this little boy.
As it was already 7 p.m., Amir and daddy wanted to go out and we too had to leave.  I promised the little guy that I'd take him to KFC Restaurant next time.
