ON THE LOOKOUT FOR BURGLARS

Yesterday evening, Daniel stopped by at my house to inform me that he saw two suspicious looking guys on a motorbike a the backlane of my house.  Daniel was actually on his way home after having bought dinner for himself when he saw these suspicious looking characters.  His wife, Umi, had gone back to her village as her mother suffered a mild stroke yesterday.
I went to two of my neighbours' houses to inform them and told them to be alert should they hear anything suspicious.  In the meantime, Daniel gave me the telephone number of the police station and he said that he would go around and check. The both of us suspect that the two Indian guys could be the one who burgled the house of the old lady last week as their description fits that of her burglars.
I have been warned and so I am staying alert.  It is 2.04 a.m. and I am still not in bed yet.  If possible I will blog throughout the night.  At around 1.00 a.m. I heard the sound of a motorbike behind my house, when I opened the window I could not see anyone.  So, I am now extra cautious.
Hopefully all my neighbours would be on the alert and if we catch the burglars, they better watch out.  Last week, the neighbours gave chase to a snatch thief and managed to catch him.  The thief lost 4 teeth in his struggle to escape.  Serves him right.

Now, how on earth am I going to protect my house from burglars.  My Umi said that the most fearful thing is not that the burglars take our things but them doing any harm to the people inside the house.  To me both are equally fearful as there are some of my things that have sentimental value.
