PUTU BULUH

I have oft seen the Putu Buluh or Bamboo Rice Cake being sold at the Farmer's Market but never gave them a try until yesterday.  The snack is actually rice flour with brown sugar filling being steamed in short hollowed bamboo sticks.  Once cooked, desiccated coconut is added as topping. For RM1.20, you get 3 and RM2 gets you 5. 
My verdict?  I love what I ate and will most definitely buy them again the next time I chance upon them.  Yummy!  The Putu Buluh would taste even better if eaten straight from the steamer.  I ate mine later at night but still it tasted good.
