A couple of days ago, I was introduced to the Siput Kemudi when I went to the jetty to buy fish. The flesh of this shellfish did not look too great once it was removed from the shell. Kamariah said it looked a bit eeky and not too palatable.
Anyway, I decided to be adventurous and bought 5. Each costs 70 sen. When I got home, I marinated the siput kemudi with sesame oil, salt and soy sauce for about ten minutes before frying with ginger. Guess what? It tasted yummy. I especially liked the scallop-like white part of the flesh.
