Like everyone else, I want to start the year right and would observe many of the rituals and also take note of all the taboos for want of a better year. Besides, making sure that there are activators for the auspicious areas in my home, I have also tried my best to place remedies for those areas that are afflicted by bad stars.
However, there is actually one observance which is by far more potent and important than all the rituals and Feng Shui cures. Know what it is? Divine blessings. Yes, I would make sure to go to a temple and pray to Buddha, Kuan Yin and also the Taoist Deities to seek blessings for my family, friends and students. That is one thing that I always do on the first day of the Chinese New Year.
