I mentioned that my guests for the closing ceremony of the CNY Exhibition were treated to a meal of Nasti Tomato and Ayam Masak Merah. Those who are Malaysians or living in this region would know what I am talking about. However, I am sure that many of my visitors would not have any idea of what type of dish I am referring to. In this post, I have posted a pictures of Ayam Masak Merah and Nasi Tomato plus a bit of description.
Ayam Masak Merah is a Malay (or is it Indonesian) dish which is spicy and sweet at the same time. This popular dish is usually served with nasi tomato [tomato rice] below. Nasi tomato is prepared using Basmati rice. The orange colour of the rice comes from tomato paste.
