According to Chinese astrological predictions, those born in the Rat year will be visited by the Angry Star 3 in the Rabbit Year. They would be quick to anger and become easily agitated. According to a Feng Shui book I read by Lilian Too, the anger vibrations generated will be the undoing of the Rat if they give way to this negative feeling.
In her book, the Feng Shui Grandmaster suggested using scents, aromas and incense to suppress the anger vibrations that would be felt by the Rat. According to her, aromas are a powerful medium that can help clear the air of negativity and suppress troublesome energies. The scent of lavender which is known to help purify the air and calm and soothe ones nerves is a great scent to have permeating ones home. So to prevent oneself from turning into Darth Vaders, why not try using aromas. Lavenders are especially calming and soothing.
