Though we have already welcomed the lunar new year but the babies who are born today are still considered to be born in the year of the Tiger. Why? Because spring or lap chun (Mandarin Lichun 立春) has not begun yet. Lap Chun will officially start on February 4th, 2011.

Yes, my husband told me the same thing. This is good info for a person like me; a Kadazan/ Dusun woman married to pure Chinese from Malacca.
