Why Doesn't My Life Change?

7 Rut-Busting Feng Shui Tips to Get You Unstuck

Everyone gets stuck in life. It just happens. But sometimes, you get stuck in a rut and the longer you're in it, the deeper the rut becomes and the harder it is to climb out. What you need is a "rut-buster." Feng shui can help.

It's important to understand that you are your own source of frustration - and that you often get in your own way.

I'm going to show you some techniques to get out of your way and some mind games - and a few key feng shui techniques that will help you get unstuck and start moving forward again in your love life, your career and help you pump some fabulous money mojo into your life again!

Hit the four corners. Make sure you energize all four corners of your home. The perfect way? Put a three-tie set of Chinese coins in each corner of your house.

Together they add up to the number 12, which is reduced to a 3 (1+2=3). This is the "Dragon" number and it represents yang energy and growth. This will infuse your home with special springtime energy from the dragon.

Be realistic. Set goals but make sure they are believable. Always wishing for a million dollars and only make $42,000? Do you really believe you'll make a million dollars this year? Set a goal to make $80,000 instead. Your mind discards anything that isn't reasonable - or believable. More interestingly still is that your mind says "Hey, eighty grand is doable...maybe I'll do more!" I find that when I set realistic, believable goals, I often exceed them.

Psst...I'll have some extra details in the 2011 Success Pack coming out next week that will help you clarify your vision and be more specific about your goals to help you to achieve them!

Ready, set, change. Get the plastic furniture movers out and rearrange your rooms. Make sure you aren't seated with your back to the 3 Killings, which is west in 2011. Move your artwork, too. This will help you to see your home in a new way and "wake up" your vision again! Move 27 things in your house (keep count!) to get your home "fired up" with yang energy that supports change.

Lift your sights. Try to find something opposite your desk to look at all day that is inspiring. Be sure to change the screensaver and wallpaper on your computer, too. Replace with beautiful uplifting images. A perfect sight for the year? Images of waterfalls, the beach or pretty ponds and rivers. We need water in the year ahead and those images will help you handle stress and keep you focused on flowing and producing.

Write out your vision statement. Do you have a vision for your life? Write out what your vision for your life is in the coming year. It's easy to get caught up in the tiny details of your life to the point that you lose the big picture view. If you can create a big picture view for yourself and keep yourself focused on that you'll be working toward something larger in your life and not get caught up in the small details that keep you stuck in a rut. Be sure to post that vision statement where you see it frequently.

Buy a symbol of your focus for the year - and then activate it! What do you want to accomplish in the year? I'll share one of my goals with you. I have some large national ambitions. When I was in Washington DC this summer, I bought a keychain with the Great Seal of the United States on it. I put that key chain on the left side of my desk under my desk lamp (you know it's my favorite place to activate my intentions!) to symbolize those ambitions I have. And you know what? I have some big projects in the works and now I'm being approached by others with projects - I'm not having to chase them down. Find your symbol. Put it where you see it and activate it!

Ru yi puts you in charge. Symbols that represent authority and prestige are excellent energizers for making you feel in charge as the CEO of your life. A ru yi is the perfect symbol of authority and are found in the offices of high-ranking officials and managers in Asian companies. The ru yi confers power and authority and are often seen in the hands of Buddha figures. They represent wealth and success and the prestige that accompanies it. Place in the north of your home, it energizes career and business luck.
