In the above picture, my mum and aunt were waiting for the second half of the Feng Shui Talk by Jason Eng on Sunday. They said that they could only understand about half of the content of the talk as some of it was Feng Shui jargon. Nevertheless, they understood the part about the Annual Tai Sui or Grand Duke Jupiter. As Taoists, my mum and I would go to the temple to pray to Tai Sui for blessings and protection.
For those who are new to Feng Shui, Tai Sui is the God of the Year. He is in charge of all matters related to the Earth and mankind for the duration of one whole year. There are altogether 60 Tai Suis or Gods of the Year.
It is important for us to know where Tai Sui resides for the year as it is not advisable to sit facing that particular direction. For the year of the Rabbit, Tai Sui is located in East 2. One must also not disturb the location where Tai Sui is for the year. There should also not be any renovating or digging going on in this direction.
Those who are in conflict with Tai Sui for 2011 are the rabbit, rooster, rat and horse.
