JADE EMPEROR TEMPLE UP ON A HILL

A few weeks back, Lai Yoong and I visited the Jade Emperor Temple in Tambun.  This temple is located at the top of a limestone hill and one needs to climb many, many steps in order to reach the top.  Actually Lai Yoong counted the number of steps but since we went there somewhere at the beginning of December 2010, both of us have forgotten how many.  Perhaps, we would count again when we go again next time.

The temple is situated inside a cave.

Lai Yoong and I climbed higher up the cave until we reached the very top
At the top of the cave
This is what the temple people said was the crystal Kuan Yin
It does not appear to clear in the picture.  One needs to go there to be able to make out the image of the goddess

Going down the steep flight of stairs
This lady was afraid of heights and she went down the stairs by sitting from stair to stair
Another picture of the lady going down the stairs in her own unique way
