INTEREST ABOUT AARIF RAHMAN LEE AS BRUCE LEE

The late Bruce Lee was one of my childhood idols.  I had watched all the movies starring Bruce Lee and also the Green Hornet series where he co-starred as Kato.  I also watched him in the American TV series, "Longstreet".  When I heard of his untimely demise, I cried buckets.  To me there will never be another icon who can replace him.  There have been mini series and movies about Bruce Lee but (to me) so far none of the stars who played him have measured up to his dynamism neither do they possess his screen presence nor charisma.
Now there is this new movie, "Bruce Lee, my brother" out in our theatres about Bruce Lee before he achieved his phenomenal fame and the movie stars another Lee, Aarif Rahman.  This young man has a combination of Arabic, Malay, Chinese ancestry which would say much about his unique looks.  Ethnically, his dad is Malay-Chinese-Middle Eastern while his mum is from Hong Kong.  By the way, Bruce Lee's maternal grandfather was German . What makes Aarif Rahman Lee more interesting for us here in Malaysia is that he has Malaysian roots. Well, he does bear a resemblance to Bruce Lee and having him play the Kung Fu legend is a real bonus as this talented young actor has already won an award for acting.  This Physics graduate from a university in England is also an accomplished singer and musician too. Wow! What a combination - good looks, brains, brawns and lots of talent.  Here is definitely a young star to look out for.  Perhaps, Aarif Lee would do justice to his portrayal of the Kung Fu legend.
