I watched a Chinese programme on cooking this weekend with my mum. The name of the programme is "So Good" and the host cum chef is a lady with the surname So.
Her guest for that episode was young man whom one could imagine working as a hair stylist or fashion designer. What with his dyed trendy hairstyle. He was going to demonstrate how to make a dessert from watermelon and other fruits.
What interest me is not the recipe for the dessert but rather the young man. No! No! No! Don't get me wrong. I do not have the hots for him but was rather impressed with his achievements. Believe it or not, the young man with the trendy blondish hair is the youngest doctor of philosophy holder in Hong Kong. His major was something to do with Plasma technology. He has a string of other achievements and has also taken courses in hairstyling and flower arrangement.
So this should be a reminder to us not to hold the notion that smart guys wear thick glasses and look nerdish. There are some Ah Beng looking ones who are super smart as well.
