I notice that those South Korean actors and singers who enlist in the military are most often given duties that are more geared towards promotion and entertainment instead of defence. Take for example, two new enlistees, Ju Ji Hoon and Lee Jun Ki. I read that both actors will be starring in a musical for the army with the objective of entertaining the troops. So I guess these young men would get to hone their acting and singing skills even while serving their country. However, they don't get paid for doing it. Heh! Heh!
