THE FUN OF WATCHING THE WORLD CUP

We are three matches away from knowing which country will lift the 2010 World Cup.  Though I am a wee bit disappointed that the Brazilians did not play the skillful football that they are famed for, I am at the same time entertained by what is labelled as the greatest show on earth.  So many surprises.  The ousting of Brazil and Argentina is shocking but at the same time captivating.  That is what makes a great show.  The climax, anticlimax.  I like the idea of seeing new stars emerge.  That is what makes watching the World Cup so fun.  We can't really be 100 percent sure that favourites would make it all the way to the finals.
Me thinketh the present batch of so-called football superstars were getting to big for their boots and they deserved the comeuppance they got.
It's time to see some fresh new faces.  Wouldn't it be interesting if Uruguay were to play Spain in the finals.  Yeah!  But if my gut instinct proves right the methodical and clinical Germans would be meeting the Dutch on July 11.  Mark my words!
