Toi Toi is the brand for the portable toilets that will used at Star Walk tomorrow morning. I was at the Farmer's Market with my aunt and saw the workers placing the toilets at strategic places so that the participants who need to answer nature's call will be able to do so. There are actually toilets at the indoor and outdoor stadiums but then the people taking part in the Star Walk will definitely need more toilets than those that are available.
Here is some info on portable toilets to share with you:
- A portable toilet is a modern, portable, self-contained outhouse manufactured of molded plastic in a variety of colors and is often used as a temporary toilet for construction sites and large gatherings and events.
- Portable toilets are referred to colloquially or sold under such brands as Porta-John, PortaJane, Johnny On The Spot, Port-O-Let, Port-a-Loo, Porta-Potty, Tidy John, John To Go, Biffs, and Toi-Toi.
- Portable toilets are large enough for a single occupant - usually about 90 cm (3 ft) on a side by 210 cm (7 ft).
- A single portable toilet can be hauled in the back of a pick-up truck.
- An average portable toilet is able to hold enough sewage for 10 people during the course of a 40 hour work week before the hold reaches unsanitary conditions.
At each strategic point near the starting point for the Star Walk are four toilets, two for gents and two for ladies.
Here's how the inside of the Toi Toi looks like.
