TELLING IT AS IT IS

By now we are really familiar with stories about celebrities denying that they are married or are in a relationship with someone else.  I think they have to veil the truth as they do not want to lose their fans or sponsors once they are not on the eligible list anymore.
I have often  commented about the lovely models who were advertising cosmetic products or hair products.  Surely their skins or hair were already in good condition before using the products. Otherwise, the advertisers wouldn't be asking them to appear in the commercial.  Similarly celebrities who endorse certain products would already be beautiful.   However they have to go on telly to tell people that they use this or that product even if they don't.
Well, I was pleasantly surprised to find this article about SS501 Leader Kim Hyun Joong being so downright frank that he angered sponsors and management.  I have seen him in the reality show,"We Got Married" with Hwang Bo and already knew that this is one guy who calls a spade a spade.

Kim Hyun-jung wants to tell the truth no matter what
Can you believe everything the celebrities say? Not likely.
It is mostly because they have to think about their popularity and their sponsors first. Many times the stars don’t want to reveal their weakness and lie about it. For instance, their short heights, bad relationship with other stars, and plastic surgery experiences. They wouldn’t want to share anything that might bring their fame down.

They are not just made out of nowhere. There are so many people involved to make them stars. They shouldn’t forget about them and they would lie in public if they could make their sponsors look good. The perfect example would be the commercials. I don’t believe anything they say because it is like acting. They often say like, "It is so comfortable.” or “I only use this.” although they have never seen or used before.
Let’s take a look at our favorite star, Kim Hyun-jung. His character is very distinctive. He would say it out if he feels something that is not right or wrong. He isn't afraid of how it would affect the company’s business or his popularity. He has to say what he believes is right. He once mentioned about New Caledonia after he went there for the shooting scenes.
He said that he would divorce his future wife if she wanted to go to New Caledonia for a trip with him. He was having so much hard time there because that place was not really developed yet. Of course The New Caledonia Tourist Department was angry with his words and received many cancellations of trips to the country although it sponsored the Boys over Flowers to shoot the episode there. He didn’t care how much it sponsored them. He just wanted everyone to know how he felt while he was staying there whether they sponsored them or not.
He also refused to meet the fans from Japan right after Jang Ja-yeon’s death. He understood that the schedule was already made and it should be great to show them nice smiles and give them his signatures at the site. He just couldn’t do all the acting right after his colleague’s death even though he is a TV drama actor. He really wanted all of us to listen to his true feelings when he felt that it was necessary. I respect that and I hope he wouldn’t change his frankness under any condition. I and many true fans will support him.
