FENG SHUI AND LETTER BOXES

According to some Feng Shui masters the placing of the letter boxes would have some bearings on the type of mail received by occupants of the house.  They say that a letter box that is placed at a suitable Feng Shui position would enhance the luck of the occupants of the house while one that is placed at an inauspicious position would have negative effect on their luck.
Based on the advice given on placement of letter boxes, the left edge of the gate (like the one above) is not a good place for the letter box.  It seems that good luck would not enter a house.
On the other hand, it seems that if the letter box is placed on the right pillar of the house (from the inside looking out), then that is a good position and the occupants would expect great tidings in their mail.

COMMENT
For your information, the letter box in the first picture belongs to my house.  I for one do not believe in such type of Feng Shui belief.  Is it logical for everyone who has a letter box on the right side to only receive good news?  Believe me, it does not work that way.  I am sure that Feng Shui Masters like Joey Yap would pooh-pooh at such Feng Shui advice.
