CELOSIA

Those parents who are thinking of looking for a unique name for their unborn daughters might consider "Celosia".  It is a pretty ornamental flower which is useful as well.
The leaves can be eaten as vegetables.  It can also be used to treat intestinal worms (particularly tapeworm), blood diseases, mouth sores, eye problems. The seeds treat chest complaints and the flowers diarrhea. The leaves are used as dressings for boils and sores, and the boiled vegetables are said to be slightly diuretic.
I bought a pot of Celosia for my mum last weekend.  I like buying plants for her as she loves to do gardening.  That is what makes her happy.  The flowers come in different colours like red, yellow, pink and purple.
