Me wearing the 8 Treasures of Buddhism Pendant
One of my friends asked me what do the symbols on my pendant represent. I told her that they were a particular set of eight auspicious symbols in Buddhism. In the middle of the pendant is the symbol for AUM which is a mystical or sacred syllable in the Indian religions. Each symbol represents an aspect of Buddhist teaching and when they appear together, their powers are said to multiply. By wearing the pendant, it is believed that it will protect me from all evil spirits and bring peace and harmony to my life. All the more special, I bought it using the Ang Pow money given to me by my mum, Aunt Linda and Aunty Tum.
The 8 symbols represent an aspect of Buddhist teaching and when they appear together as a form of a mandala, their powers are said to multiply.
The 8 symbols include:
1.Lotus flower. Representing purity and enlightenment.
2.Endless knot, or, the Mandala. Representing harmony.
3.Golden Fish pair. Representing conjugal happiness and freedom.
4.Victory Banner. Representing a victorious battle.
5.Wheel of Dharma or Chamaru in Nepali Buddhism. Representing knowledge.
6.Treasure Vase. Representing inexhaustible treasure and wealth.
7.Parasol. Representing the crown, and protection from the elements.
8.Conch shell. Representing the thoughts of the Buddha.

I was wondering where you bought your pendant at? I am very interested in purchasing one for myself, and I can't find that particular necklace anywhere on-line. Thanks Debbee
The pendant can be purchased from the World of Feng Shui Boutique. It costs around RM200.00
