PART-TIME HOLIDAY JOB

I have a part-time job during the school holidays.  I work free of charge as a tour guide for senior citizens as it is during the holidays that my mum and aunt get to do a bit of travelling.  The tour schedule for them is customised to their needs and besides working for free, I also have to supply the meals as well.
This type of tour is very specialised as one has to wait for them to take all their medication first and make sure that they have their food first.  If not they would start making noise that they are feeling weak from hunger.  Then there will be the toilet stops. And also in between they need to have some rest to recharge their batteries. Another thing is that my mum would only want to travel if it is only a day trip as she worries about her dog and her plants at home.
Don't be under the impression that I am all patience when dealing with them.  I am no angel and would sometimes snap at them if they try my patience too much.  However, I would still persist in trying to let them have some fun.
This holiday, they requested to travel to Sitiawan as they wanted to do some shopping, eat seafood and visit some friends.  Well, this travel itinery is tailored to suit them
I brought my mum and aunt to visit the Herb and Fruit Garden in my school as they are both keen gardeners.  However, neither seemed too interested as they wanted to see flowering plants and not herbs.
Another stop was at Strawberry Cafe as they were curious to see the place since I had written about it in the Xing Fu blog.  Unfortunately they weren't too interested in the food.  They said the food wasn't to their taste.  So we just ordered some drinks and light snacks.  I'd give them a treat at a seafood restaurant in Kampung Cina later in the day.
My mum and aunt hadn't seen my friend Mariam for years and so we paid her a visit at her home today.  Mariam had just arrived from her hometown of Taiping a little while before our arrival.  Well, everyone had a good time talking about the good old days when we first knew each other.
Two doors away from Mariam's house is Kamariah's house.  We too paid her a visit.  There we were treated to pizza.  Since all of us were still full, Kamariah packed the pizzas for us to eat later. Know what, while I am blogging here, the two old ladies polished off the two pieces of pizzas.  They said that it was delicious and wanted more.
We also visited my friend, Khairah and her mum.  The sprightly 87 old grannie puts many of us to shame as she is in good health except for a bit of aches in the leg area.  There Khairah gave my mum and aunt a tour of her garden.  We also saw her 10 cats and kittens.
So ladies and gentlemen, that is part of the tour itinery for senior citizens organised by Miss Cheah during the holidays.
