Believe it a not! Somebody paid RM220,000 for a 'Tay 1' car licence plate which was issued by the Terengganu Road Transport Department (RTD). According to the news report, this amount was the highest paid in Malaysia so far.
The previous record was RM200,090 paid for 'TAN 1'.
Aiyah! There are actually people in Malaysia who are willing to pay such huge amounts of money for a licence plate. With that kind of money, one can buy a house and a car.
