CARAMEL EGG PUDDING

I learnt to make caramel egg pudding this afternoon.  Actually it is quite easy to make but then one needs a lot of practice before the pudding would turn out to be smooth and nice.  Since this is my first time, the first pudding I made did not turn out so nice.  The second one was better.
Here is a step by step account of how I made it.
First I caramalised sugar in a pot.  I used half a cup of sugar and half a cup of warm water. This must be done over a slow fire.
Break four eggs into a bowl.
Add the eggs into another bowl which one has already poured 1 cup of condensed milk.  Add a few drops of egg yellow colouring and vanilla flavour.
Beat the mixture slowly with a spon.  If you have a whisk, it is better.  Since I did not have one, I had to make do with the spoon.
Sieve the mixture into another bowl.  Make sure that this bowl can stand the heat.  As it would be use for steaming the custard.
Put half of the caramel into a bowl and then add the sieved ingredients into the same bowl. The amount of ingredients that I have given here is enough to make two bowls of pudding.  Do the same for the other bowl.
Place the two bowls in a steamer and set it  for 35 - 40 minutes.
This is the first pudding.  It is edible but does not look too good as it broke into pieces when I turned the bowl to pour it into a plate.
This is the second caramel custard that I made.  It turned out okay.  I haven't eaten it yet.  Tomorrow I will take it back to school and eat it there.
