In the study of the 5 elements in Feng Shui, Metal condenses and contracts earth energy. Whenever the energy of the earth is negative or inauspicious in a particular sector of the house, metal objects like big chiming clocks with moving metallic parts (such as pendulums) are strong metal cures.
