I saw this Love Treasure Box at the Kuan Yin Temple Cave in Ipoh. This is one of the activities organised by the temple committee in conjunction with Chinese New Year and also Valentine's Day. The lady in charge of this activity told me that a young male or female who is too shy to declare his or her love to the one that they are interested in could declare their love in writing and keep in the box. Then they lock the box which will be kept in the temple. Then they go and give the key to the person they are interested in and ask him/her to go to the temple and open the numbered box to read the message. The box would be hung up in one special place in the temple cave. They need to pay RM10.00 to rent the box.
