Eric had the Grand Opening for his Strawberry Cafe yesterday, 5th February 2010. This is an auspicious day to start a business. Furthermore, this is a dog day and does not conflict his animal sign. He told me that he hung up the red banner at around 8.15 a.m. According to the T'ung Shu or Chinese Almanac, this is a neutral hour which is okay. It would have been even more auspicious if he had chosen to start any time between 9.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. I guess the expert who told him to start at the particular hour would have taken into account some other particulars in his BaZi. He told me that there would be a fireworks display which would start at 9.00 p.m. Now this is auspicious as the time from 9.00 to 11.00 p.m. for that day is auspicious. So my friend has started his business on a very good note. Furthermore, it drizzled at that time which would symbolise wealth luck. 
This is the fruit punch served to the guests who attended the opening. It was very sweet and even after adding water, it still was sweet and therefore I did not finish it. However, it is actually customary to serve guests with sweet drinks and food as it would symbolise a sweet start to the business.
Hmm ... after all the good things I wrote about his business, I think Eric has to give me a treat at his Cafe. Furthermore, I was the one who suggested the date for him to start the business.
