Some Feng Shui masters advise against putting thorny plants like cacti inside the home. They say that thorny plants form a protective shield and could be placed in the garden or the compound. Also they should not be placed too near the front door.
I am posing with my mum's pot of 'Crown of Thorns". She has a lot of such plants but they are placed near the main gate and not anywhere near the front door.
