I read in the newspaper that yesterday many Buddhist devotees were in Penang for the grand opening of the 20-storey pavilion over the Goddess of Mercy (Kuan Yin) statue at the Kek Lok Si Temple in Air Itam. It looks so grand an lovely in the picture that I must make it a point to go with my family to visit the pavilion in 2010.
