OUT WITH THE OLD, IN WITH THE NEW

I remember one advice given by Feng Shui Master, Jason Eng, to throw away broken furniture before the Chinese New Year when I attended one of his Annual Feng Shui update talks. He said that it would be good to replace it with a new one as anything old and broken would not be auspicious. Besides, I recall him saying that adding a new piece of furniture to the home before the new year is particularly lucky.

Well, I was sort of nagged into buying a new sofa set by my Aunt Linda after she heard that I fell down from the broken rattan chair which I had with me since 1987. Somehow, I felt that it was such a crying shame to part with it since it had been with me for so many years. It had sentimental value. Then my Aunt Linda started telling me stories about her neigbour's sister who had a fall in her house and became bedridden after that. Finally, I gave in and my two elders helped me to choose a new sofa set.
By the way, the cute bear and the charming lady do not come with the set. Ha! Ha! Ha!
