HERITAGE OF IPOH: PALOH KHOO MIU

The Paloh Old Temple or the Paloh Khoo Miu is more than a hundred years old. My mum reminded me that this temple is being earmarked as one of the heritage sites of Ipoh. The carvings and the statues on the rooftop have been there for a very long time and are really priceless. The Ipoh people also refer to it as Tai Pak Koong Miu temple since the temple was built to honour the Taoist deity, Tai Pak Koong.

**As an aside, Ipoh folks also refer to their hometown as Paloh.
