I had always taught that the Water lettuce or Kiambang was only used in aquariums or ponds to provide cover for fry and small fish. Little did I know that in traditional Malay medicine it is used as an aphrodisiac. Yeah! It seems that the root of the plant is cooked and eaten by women who want to heighten their husband's love. So instead of going for the Viagra and Tongkat Ali, why not try water lettuce. They can be easily planted and grow fast. Kee! Kee! Kee!
