The three boys pictured above with me are my librarians. Sharveen, Naqib and Amin will be sitting for their SPM examination tomorrow and I think all were feeling a bit anxious. To help them feel more relaxed, my library assistant, Puan Asiah and I talked and joked with them and also tried to motivate them. We told them that in the absence of their parents, both of us took on the roles of stand-in mothers. I think they felt calmer and more relaxed studying next to Puan Asiah whom they all treat as a motherly figure. Me? To them I am TEACHER.
