PROTECTING THE GUAVAS

This afternoon, my students, Sharveen and Naqib, helped me to wrap the fruit growing on the guava plant in the herb garden. There are quite a lot of fruits on the plant and we hope to harvest it soon. The boys are wrapping the fruit so that birds would not be able to get to them. It is a happy feeling to see that something that we have planted is growing well and bearing fruit. Hopefully, we get to taste the fruit. Last time we found that some people had plucked the guavas before we could harvest them.
