Sharveen and I had planned to bring festive food for the children at the Vision Home in Sitiawan after school today as we wanted to share our festive joy with them. I will be celebrating the Mid Autumn Festival tomorrow and Sharveen will be celebrating Deepavali on the 17th of October. We had invited Baz along and she said that since it was her birthday today, she wanted to buy two cakes for the children there. When we were there the children and their caretakers had a cake cutting ceremony for her and they sang her a birthday song as well.
Me? I took time to hug the little ones as I usually do. A few of them took turns to take photographs and they enjoyed Baz's birthday cake. One of the caretakers, Ms Saunderi told me that quite a number of people have sent boxes of mooncakes for the children at the welfare home and I am sure more people will be sending them fruits and other goodies tomorrow.
