Festivals are time when the more fortunate ones would try and give cheer to the poor, the needy and the old folks. Since the Mid Autumn Festival falls on the 3rd of October this year, there will be people going to visit the less fortunate to present them with gifts of mooncakes, pomeloes and lanterns.
In Hong Kong, I read that three of the celebrities, Joe Ma, Yoyo Mung and Raymond Lam visited an Old Folk's Home in the Tsim Tsa Tsui district yesterday. They distributed mooncakes and fruits to the old folks as festive gifts. Well, it is good that they as celebrities do their bit for the welfare of the senior citizens instead of brawling in public or bashing other people. After all their fans take them as role models and are pretty much influenced by their actions.
