BIGGER THAN THUMBELINA

15-year old Jyoti Amge from India has earned herself the honour of being the smallest girl in the world. This teenager is only 58 cm tall and weighs 5 kg. She is even slightly smaller than an average two year old child. The reason why she is bigger than Thumbelina is because she suffers from a form of dwarfism called achondroplasia.
Jyoti is pictured with her normal sized teenage classmates in school.
She has her own mini chair and desk in her classroom.
Other than her unusual size, Jyoti is very much like any normal teenager with similar interests and tastes.
