NOT REALLY THAT SURPRISING

And the new American Idol is Kris Allen. I actually could see it coming and am really wondering why people kept saying that it is a surprising win. Besides being himself a talented singer (a cute and handsome one at that), there were four other reasons why Kris got the winning votes. Firstly, it is because he is obviously straight. I guess that garnered him all the Tween votes (the sweet young things). Secondly, he might have gotten a lot of votes from a lot of Christians. Thirdly, it is because not everyone enjoys listening to the amazing vocal aerobics of Adam Lambert. Some people have termed it as screeching. To them Kris is easier on the ears. Fourthly but not lastly, people like to root for the underdog and they might have gotten sick of Simon and the rest of the judges trying to manipulate them into choosing Adam.
After all that has been said and will be said about Adam's loss to Kris, the reality is it won't really matter that much to Glambert . Let me remind everyone that the program American Idol seeks to discover the best singer in the country and that it has done, the idol crown maybe given to the more popular singer but we all know that the loser has become the World Star.
